There are so many different types of group fitness classes at our Kerikeri fitness centre – there’s something for all ages and activity levels. As well as live Les Mills classes, we’ve got our own range of Community Fitness classes, as well as virtual Les Mills group fitness classes.

BODYSTEP is a full-body cardio workout to really tone your butt and thighs. It combines basic stepping with moves like burpees and push-ups along with the chance to showcase your rhythm and flair. Thanks to the cardio blocks that push fat-burning systems into high gear, BODYSTEP will get your heart rate up and increase your cardio fitness. Burn up to 620 calories while improving coordination and agility; you’ll leave buzzing with satisfaction.

Formerly known as Les Mills CXWORX, CORE exercises the muscles around your core to provide the vital ingredient for a stronger body. Every class emphasises great technique and awareness so you can learn about your body and make it stronger. CORE is a results programme with quick gains that make you stronger and leaner so you can continually challenge yourself, regardless of your fitness level.

Push yourself and ride to the rhythm of powerful music.

RPM is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s fun, low impact, and you can burn up to 675 calories a session. With great music pumping and the group spinning as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. 

RPM classes are a 50-minute workout.

M&Ms are our Mature & Motivated exercise classes for seniors: keep active and mobile for longer. Our M&Ms group is designed around fun and practicality for fitness. Join this invigorated group to add a little something extra into your usual training routine. This senior exercise class will introduce you to exercises you may have never tried before as well as introducing you to other people to share your workout with. Get that little extra bit of motivation with a group environment and stay stronger, fitter, more balanced and independent for longer. You’re almost guaranteed to laugh as you workout!

Community Fitness Teen Fit Classes Kerikeri

FitKids & TeenFit

It’s never too early to make a commitment to fitness.

Our fitness class for teens and kids are designed to make exercise fun while still ensuring that exercises are done correctly from the get-go. Starting young, or just starting, our instructors have the skills, the desire and the motivation to get your kids or teens on the road to self-awareness and fitness. By providing them with technique education and good nutritional advice, your kids or teens will never look back.

FitKids children’s fitness is for ages 6 to 10, and TeenFit is for ages 11 to 14. After age 14, teens are old enough to have their own gym membership and go to any class they wish.

Parkinson’s Fitness Classes

Community Fitness hosts a weekly Parkinson’s exercise class called Counterpunch on Wednesdays at 1pm, for a gold coin donation. Counterpunch has special exercises for Parkinson’s disease, including coordination exercises for Parkinson’s patients.

The Counterpunch class is organised by the local Parkinson’s New Zealand group in Northland – please contact them to arrange attendance.
